Manage Your Content, Not Your Pages

Most tasks for creating a website fall into three groups. First is the content - deciding what information should appear on the site and how it should be organized. Second is the user experience - how the site should look and interact with the user. The last category is the actual process of turning these ideas about content and presentation into actual web pages.

HFCC has selected a powerful open source Content Management System called Drupal™ to provide a robust and versatile framework for building websites. Whether you're working as a single department or collaborating with others, you can now deliver critical information to students, faculty, administrators and staff quickly and effectively using a reliable platform that is consistent across all HFCC websites, yet individually crafted to fit your specific needs.

  • All software is installed on the server. All you need is a web browser.
  • Sites are individually tailored using a task and content-oriented approach.
  • Setup and training are provided by Data and Voice.

Several departments have already switched to Drupal. Data and Voice are working to migrate the remainder of HFCC's web presence to Drupal in the coming year.
